In January of 2016, the brand new Shorter University Disc Golf Course was finally completed. After months of planning and hundreds of hours of volunteer work, disc golfers in northwest GA now have another challenging, par 58, 18-hole disc golf course to test their skill. Shorter University is located in Rome, GA and offers a challenging course that weaves through the woods along the walking trail that circles the campus. The course brings a new level of challenges for local disc golfers which will require technical shots through trees, as well as long and accurate shots from the tee box.

Upon arrival to the school, players can park in the gravel lot across from the welcome center next to the baseball field. The first tee box is across the road heading towards the main campus. A map of the course can be found here. For more information about the course, pictures, reviews, and other media, players can go here. The excitement on Shorter's campus is already evident, as new students can be seen each week playing on the course and being introduced to the sport of disc golf. The course has added significant value to the school, as well as another opportunity for the community to enjoy the beautiful scenery of Rome.
